Mike Boorman
Treasurer
Mike Boorman This is Mike's second go at the Fathers Committee, having left about five years ago when his eldest son finished at KES. Mike's youngest son is now in year 7 so it's back on board for him! He is sure it will be just as much fun and hard(ish) work this time as last. His current objective - as well as trying to live up to the previous treasurer's fine reputation - is to reintroduce the Fathers' Committee revue at the next Christmas Ball, as he says he has really missed dressing up in women's clothes!
Sean McGuire
Secretary
Photo coming soon Sean's son, one half of the duo, is currently in the Pre-prep School, moving up to the Junior School in September. Sean wants to see what projects the Fathers' Committee can carry out in and with the school for the benefit of the children and the community. Sean has been in the IT industry since his first Tandy TRS-80. He works at Intel, helping Emea Governments on their HPC Strategy. Sean believes that the committee is an excellent way of providing additional support for childrens' education, and that the fathers somehow happen to have a great time along the journey.

Tim Gibbs
Committee Member
Tim Gibbs Tim is a committed member (at least many say he should be) since his older daughter joined Year 5 in 2008. He enjoys his life as the owner of an IT management and sales consultancy business keeping him more than happily busy(!), and is involved with several venture developments and partnerships including one in foreign exchange. Tim's background includes 25 years of IT and business development with many of the major blue-chip companies. Tim gets his kicks piloting his homebuilt aeroplane which is the recent result of a 5 year project of late nights in his garage! He also enjoys cycling and anything gadgety.

Colin Kevelighan
Committee Member

Colin Kevelighan

Colin has two children at the school and has been involved in the Fathers' Committee for some three years. He works in the water treatment industry, and any spare time is spent watching rugby. As a relative newcomer to the area, he has made some good friends through his involvement with the committee.

Steve Watts
Committee Member
Photo coming soon Steve has a daughter in year 10. He joined the Fathers' Committee four years ago. As an Easyjet pilot the unsocial roster makes it quite difficult to be a regular attendee. In the (distant) past Steve has been a Biologist, a Carpenter and a Search and Rescue Helicopter pilot. Outside work he enjoys DIY, gardening and aerobatics.
Andrew Pawley
Committee Member

Andrew has lived in Northend, Batheaston with his Venezuelan wife, Annie for 10 years. He has a daughter about to go into Year 8, a son going into Year 6, and a son at Aston studying Mechanical Engineering. He runs a niche HR strategy consultancy in London focused on the Financial and Professional Services sectors and a small building company in Bath. In his spare time he is an avid golfer at Cumberwell, is actively involved on the Minis Committee of Avon Rugby in Batheaston (where many KES children play!) and is a Bath Rugby season ticket holder. He has found the Fathers' Committee a fun way to help the School, and finds the Sporting Dinners, in particular, to be great evenings.

Keith Clover
Committee Member
Photo coming soon Keith joined the Father's Committee in September 2008. He has one son at KES who started in Year 7 in 2008 and the Fathers' Committee has proved an excellent way for him to get to know many other families, at the same time as being involved in raising funds for the school. He is an Educational Consultant and works for both Wiltshire Council and BANES, and is a school governor at his sons' primary school. Keith enjoys swimming, walking the dog and listening to a wide range of music. Ketih says of the Fathers' Committee: 'If you are looking for a worthwhile "extra hobby" I can certainly recommend the KES Father's Committee.'

Alan Murray
Committee Member
Photo coming soon Alan has one son at KES who will be entering year five at the junior school in September 2009. He has been a member of the committee for two years, and has been self employed in financial services for 20 years specialising in the mortgage and commercial lending market, so 2009 has been very interesting and never dull! In his leisure time he enjoys playing tennis in the summer, badminton in the winter, and golf whenever he gets the chance; assisting in coaching an under 10 football team in Bath and, as a long suffering Newcastle United supporter, following the rugby as much as possible. He would like to highly recommend the Fathers' Committee to new members.
